FAQs
What is a house clearance?
A house clearance involves the removal, loading, and responsible disposal of various household items from a property. We can clear mattresses, appliances, clothing, furniture, and general domestic waste.
How does your pricing work?
The price depends on the size and scope of the clearance, whether it’s a single room or a full house.

Where do you cover house clearances?
We cover all of Yorkshire and provide full coverage along the M1 corridor. For locations outside Yorkshire, mileage is charged at 50p per mile.
How does a house clearance work?
Our professional team aims to make the process stress-free. We collect all rubbish and unwanted items, recycling or responsibly disposing of them. We recycle up to 90% of waste, including furniture and appliances, to reduce landfill use.
Do you charge us, or do you pay us?
Every clearance is different.
Sellable items: We may pay you for these.
Items to be disposed of: We charge for responsible disposal.
The balance between the two determines whether you receive an invoice or a payment.
Can you clear a house without us being present?
Yes. We can collect keys from family members, neighbours, solicitors, or estate agents and carry out the clearance without you needing to be on-site.
Should I hire a skip instead?
Skips fill up quickly with bulky items, require permits, and may be more expensive. We offer a hassle-free, cost-effective alternative with no permits required.
Do you clear garages and sheds?
Yes. We clear garages and sheds of any size, recycling or responsibly disposing of unwanted items to leave you with a clean, usable space.
Can you lift and remove carpets?
Yes, we can remove and dispose of carpets as part of the clearance.
Do you remove single items?
Absolutely. No item is too big or too small.
What happens to the items you take away?
We prioritise selling or recycling items where possible to reduce landfill. Certain items may be donated or sent to specialist recycling centres. Landfill is always our last resort.
Do you buy antiques?
Yes. We pay fair cash prices for antiques.
Do you clear flats?
Of course. No job is too big or small.
Do you remove asbestos?
Unfortunately, we cannot remove asbestos due to health and safety regulations. We recommend contacting a qualified asbestos removal specialist.
Do you remove pianos?
Yes, we can. However, due to their size, weight, and low resale value, we charge £250 + VAT to remove and dispose of an upright piano.
Can you remove an old car from a property?
Yes. We work with a metal recycler and can arrange safe removal and disposal within a reasonable timeframe.
Can you remove a fridge/freezer that is still full of food?
Yes, we can handle this – it’s something we do regularly.
The house is full of rubbish – can you still clear it?
Yes, we can clear properties of any condition. The presence of any sellable items may help offset costs.
Some items need to be kept – can you transport them?
We prefer personal items to be removed before the clearance date for efficiency. However, we can arrange delivery of items to another address – we just need the delivery details to provide a price.
How quickly can you clear a house?
In most cases, we complete the clearance within a single day. We work quickly, safely, and with minimal disruption.
Can you give a quote over the phone?
We prefer to assess the property in person or via email/whatsapp for an accurate quote. However, we can provide a rough estimate over the phone.
All quotes are FREE.
Do you accept cash or card?
We accept cash or bank transfer – whichever is easiest for you.
